Common use of Career Development Leave With Pay Clause in Contracts

Career Development Leave With Pay. 21.04 (a) Career development refers to an activity which in the opinion of the Employer is likely to be of assistance to the individual in furthering his or her career development and to the organization in achieving its goals. The following activities shall be deemed to be part of career development:

Career Development Leave With Pay. 21.04 (a) Career development refers is a form of training which the Employer considers will benefit both the individual employee and the organization, such as: courses given by the Employer; courses offered by a recognized academic institution; a seminar, convention or study session in a specialised field directly related to an activity which in the opinion employee’s work. Upon written application by the employee, and with the approval of the Employer is likely to be of assistance to the individual in furthering his or her Employer, career development and to leave with pay may be given for any one of the organization activities described in achieving its goals.
