CALL BACK FROM APPROVED VACATION. When a Deck Officer is on an approved vacation and is unexpectedly called back to work, he or she will be reimbursed for any additional expenses incurred by the Deck Officer and travel pay as established in 12.04. In order to be reimbursed for additional expenses and be paid travel pay under this section the call back must be directed by the Commissioner of Department of Transportation and Public Facilities prior to the Deck Officer incurring additional expenses. The Deck Officer shall submit documentation to support the additional expenses and travel pay claimed. If the Deck Officer undertakes return travel after completing the assignment to which called back, he or she shall be reimbursed for any additional transportation expenses to return to the original point of call. Travel pay to return shall also be considered time worked for purposes of Minimum Guarantee, but not for the purpose of computing hours towards any overtime entitlements. All expenses will be paid in accordance with the Alaska Administrative Manual.

CALL BACK FROM APPROVED VACATION. When an Engineer Officer is on an approved personal leave and is unexpectedly called back to work, and agrees to such callback, he or she will be reimbursed for any additional transportation expenses incurred by the Engineer Officer to return as a result of the early return to work. In order to be reimbursed for additional expenses under this section the call back must be directed by the Commissioner of the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities prior to the Engineer Officer incurring additional expenses. The Engineer Officer shall submit documentation to support the additional expenses claimed. If the Engineer Officer undertakes return travel after completing the assignment to which called back, he or she shall be reimbursed for any additional transportation expenses to return to the original point of call.

  • Vacation Selection Beginning January 2 of each calendar year, employees will be scheduled a time, based on seniority, to select up to three (3) segments of available vacation leave during the time period of April 1 through March 31. A “segment” is one (1) or more contiguous days of vacation leave. No segment shall include more than ten (10) consecutive days of vacation leave in June, July, and/or August, provided that an employee may select contiguous segments of vacation leave. Each employee will be guaranteed one (1) scheduled workweek of vacation leave if requested as one of their segments. Off-shift times to select a vacation will not be considered as “time worked” for purposes of computing callback or overtime. If an employee is unable to be present during their scheduled time they may make their choice by telephone, email, or another individual with written documentation of designation, may select a vacation segment(s) for the employee. If the employee fails to select their vacation during their assigned time, the Employer may proceed with scheduling. The employee will be provided an opportunity to select their segment(s) at a later date when they are available. The Employer will publish the vacation schedule by March 1, after considering requests, as well as Agency program needs. Employees will complete a Leave Request Form no less than thirty (30) days prior to any approved vacation segment taken.

  • Call Back Pay 1. When an employee returns to work because of an agency/department request made after the employee has completed his or her normal work shift and left the work station, the employee shall be credited with four (4) hours work plus any hours of work in excess of four (4) hours in which the employee is continuously engaged in work for which he or she was called back.

  • Banked Vacation Once every five years an employee may bank one full year's vacation to be taken in conjunction with the next year's vacation. For the purposes of this clause, all vacation in the second year must be taken concurrently.

  • ANNUAL LEAVE (VACATION) A.
