Administration of Sabbatical Leave Policy. The Faculty Professional Growth Committee shall administer the Sabbatical Leave policy. The duties of the Sabbatical Leave Subcommittee shall be to prepare application forms; to screen application forms; and to make recommendations for Sabbatical Leaves to the Faculty Professional Growth (FPG) Committee. The Subcommittee shall consist of the Faculty Professional Growth Committee Chair, one (1) Residential Faculty representative from each of the Colleges, and two (2) Vice Presidents of Academic Affairs, or designees. If an FPG Sabbatical and Advancements Representative wishes to apply for a Sabbatical Leave, the representative must resign from the committee prior to applying.

Members taking their first Sabbatical Leave after a probationary period at The University of Western Ontario shall receive 90.0% of their Base Salary; Members taking their second or subsequent Sabbatical Leave from The University of Western Ontario shall receive 85.0% of their Base Salary.

The State acknowledges its commitment to comply with the spirit and intent of the leave entitlement provided by the FMLA and the California Family Rights Act (CFRA) referred to collectively as "FMLA." The State and the Union recognize that on occasion it will be necessary for employees of the State to take job- protected leave for reasons consistent with the FMLA. As defined by the FMLA, reasons for an FMLA leave may include an employee's serious health condition, for the care of a child, spouse, or parent who has a serious health condition, and/or for the birth or adoption of a child.

  • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA A. The Board provides leave to eligible employees consistent with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Eligible employees are entitled to up to 12 work weeks of unpaid family and medical leave in any 12-month period. The Board continues to pay the District’s share of the employee’s health benefits during the leave. In addition, the District restores the employee to the same or a similar position after the termination of the leave in accordance with Board policy.

  • Family Medical Leave Act Pursuant to the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, an employee who has been employed at least twelve (12) months and worked at least 1,250 hours during the prior 12-month period is entitled to twelve (12) work weeks of leave during any 12-month period without pay but with group health insurance coverage maintained for one or more of the following reasons:

  • Medical Leave of Absence Where you have a medical leave of absence due to any medically determinable physical or mental impairment that can be expected to result in death or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than six months, and you have not returned to employment with the Company or an Affiliate, a Separation from Service has occurred on the earlier of: (A) the first day on which you would not be considered “disabled” under any disability policy of the Company or Affiliate under which you are then receiving a benefit; or (B) the first day on which your medical leave of absence period exceeds 29 months.

  • Family Medical Leave (a) An employee is entitled to family medical leave in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.
