Common use of Accumulated Time Clause in Contracts

Accumulated Time. In circumstances where the Employee wishes to work additional hours in a pay period, such Employee may do so upon written approval from the Employer. It is agreed that the additional hours will not exceed 44 hours in a week, in accordance with the Employment Standards Act of Ontario straight time hours of work limit. These hours would be considered as Accumulated time owing and would be used within a six month time frame. Accumulated time may not exceed 75 hours. It is agreed and understood that Accumulated Time may not be the subject of the grievance or arbitration procedure.
