Acceptance of Reemployment. If a position becomes available for a qualified teacher on ULA, the School District shall mail the notice to such teacher who shall have five (5) calendar days from the date of such notice to accept the reemployment. Failure to accept, in writing, within such five (5)-calendar day period shall constitute a waiver on the part of the teacher to any further rights of employment or reinstatement, and that teacher shall forfeit any future reinstatement or employment rights. A teacher on ULA does not forfeit their right to reinstatement when accepting a position for less than the equivalent FTE that the teacher had when placed on ULA, or when they refuse a position that is less than equivalent to the FTE the teacher had when placed on XXX.
