Absence Due to Injury on the Job. 1. Whenever a teacher is absent from school as a result of what is determined to be a job incurred injury and thereby covered by Workmen’s Compensation Insurance, he/she shall be allowed such absence with full salary up to one hundred twenty (120) school days, or until final compensation award is made, whichever comes first. During this time, the District will receive and retain any compensation payments for lost time. After one hundred twenty (120) school days of absence, only compensation awards for lost time will be received by the teacher.

Absence Due to Injury on the Job. A. Whenever a bargaining unit member is absent from work as a result of a personal injury caused by an accident or an assault occurring in the course of his/her employment, he/she shall receive his/her foil salary (less the amount of any Workers' Compensation award made for temporary disability due to said injury) for up to one continuous year from date of temporary disability resulting from said accident or assault. No part of such absence will be charged to his/her annual or accumulated sick/family leave.
Absence Due to Injury on the Job. Whenever a teacher is absent from school as a result of a personal injury caused by an accident or an assault occurring in the course of her/his employment, the teacher will be paid full salary (less the amount of any Workers’ Compensation) for a period of three (3) years. If the absence continues beyond three (3) years the teacher will continue to receive full salary; however, the teacher will be charged sick leave time for the difference between Workers’ Compensation and her/his full salary.

  • Effect on the Agreement Except as specifically amended by this Amendment, all terms of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. The term “Agreement” as used in the Agreement shall mean the Agreement as amended by this Amendment.
