Veritas definition

Veritas means VERITAS Holding Corporation and/or VERITAS Software Corporation.

Veritas includes Veritas DGC Inc., and all of its subsidiary and affiliated companies). Veritas and Employee agree as follows:

Veritas means The Veritas Capital Fund, L.P. and its Affiliates.

Examples of Veritas in a sentence

• If You purchase a Veritas maintenance/support offering consisting of or including Content Updates, as indicated on Your Support Certificate, You are granted the right to use, as part of the Licensed Software, such Content Updates as and when they are made generally available to Veritas’ end user customers who have purchased such maintenance/support offering and for such period of time as indicated on the face of the applicable Support Certificate.

• If the Licensed Software is provided to You for evaluation purposes and You have an evaluation agreement with Veritas for the Licensed Software, Your rights to evaluate the Licensed Software will be pursuant to the terms of such evaluation agreement.

• Veritas reserves the right to require that any Upgrades (if any) of the Licensed Software may only be obtained in a quantity equal to the number indicated on the applicable License Instrument.

• Veritas grants to You a nonexclusive, temporary, royalty-free, non-assignable license to use the Licensed Software solely for internal non-production evaluation subject to the applicable Product Use Rights.

• If You do not have an evaluation agreement with Veritas for the Licensed Software and if You are provided the Licensed Software for evaluation purposes, the following terms and conditions shall apply.

Veritas means "Veritas Entities or their respective Affiliates", as that term is defined in the Credit Agreement by and between Bar Technologies, Inc., Bliss & Laugxxxx Xxxel Company, the Lenders named therein and Chemical Bank Delaware dated as of April 2, 1996.

Veritas as used in this Agreement includes any and all subsidiaries and affiliated companies of VERITAS Software Corporation, and this Agreement shall inure to the benefit of any successors in interest or of any assignees of VERITAS.

Veritas means Veritas Technologies LLC and/or its subsidiaries, and the terms “You”, “Your” or “Customer” refer to the Service Entitlement owner/contract owner named in the Service Order. You and Veritas may each also be referred to as a “Party” and together, the “Parties.” The “Agreement” consists of, collectively, these Service Terms, plus the terms of the applicable Service Order including the relevant Service Description. Capitalized terms not defined in these Service Terms have the same meaning as defined in the Service Order. Customer and Veritas agree as follows:

Veritas means Veritas Technologies LLC, if You are located in the Americas or Thailand; Veritas Storage (Ireland) Limited, if You are located in Europe, Middle East or Africa; Veritas Technologies (Japan) LLC, if You are located in Japan; Veritas Technologies (Beijing) Co. Ltd. if You are located in the Peoples Republic of China; Veritas (Australia) Pty Ltd if You are located in Australia, New Zealand or the Pacific Islands; and Veritas Storage (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., if You are located in any other country in Asia-Pacific. Please note that Veritas reserves the right to change the Veritas entity participating in this Agreement by notice to You as described in this Agreement.
