Top Management Retirement Benefit definition

Top Management Retirement Benefit means the benefit payable to a Participant, a Surviving Spouse or a Beneficiary pursuant to the terms of this Plan.

Examples of Top Management Retirement Benefit in a sentence

  • A Top Management Retirement Benefit which is payable in any other form than that prescribed under Sections 3.1 and 3.2 above, or which is payable in such form prescribed under Sections 3.1 and 3.2 above but with a Beneficiary other than such Participant’s spouse, shall be the Actuarial Equivalent of the Top Management Retirement Benefit set forth in Sections 3.1 and 3.2 above.

  • A Participant may change his payment election with respect to the 409A Top Management Retirement Benefit so long as: (i) the new payment election is made at least twelve (12) months before the original payment commencement date, (ii) the new payment election does not take effect until at least twelve (12) months after the date on which such election is made, and (iii) the original payment commencement date is deferred for a period of not less than five (5) years.

  • Any such 409A Top Management Retirement Benefit payments that would otherwise have been paid to the Participant during this six-month period shall instead be aggregated with interest (at the Interest Credit Rate as defined under the SPX Qualified Plan) during such period, and be paid to the Participant on the date that is six (6) months after the Participant’s termination.

  • Following a Change-of-Control or 409A Change-of-Control, no action shall be taken under the Plan that will cause any Non-409A Top Management Retirement Benefit to be subject to Code Section 409A coverage, or cause any 409A Top Management Retirement Benefit to fail to comply in any respect with Code Section 409A, in either case without the written consent of the Participant, Surviving Spouse, or Beneficiary (as applicable).

  • Such person may also elect when the 409A Top Management Retirement Benefit will commence, which commencement date must be no sooner than the date when the Participant has both terminated employment and attained age 55.

  • However, any option other than the automatic form of benefit under the SPX Qualified Plan must have been elected for the Non-409A Top Management Retirement Benefit at least one year prior to a Participant’s Normal or Early Retirement Date.

  • Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing, a 409A Top Management Retirement Benefit payment shall be paid (or commence to be paid) on or as soon as practicable after the date determined pursuant to the above but not later than 30 days after such date.

  • To reinforce this decision and to align financial asset prices with the monetary stimulus, the Board also adopted complementary monetary policy measures.

  • Payment of the Non-409A Top Management Retirement Benefit to a Participant will commence no sooner than a date chosen by such Participant, which commencement date must be no sooner than the date when the Participant has both terminated employment and attained age 55.

  • Any Top Management Retirement Benefit payable to a Participant, a Surviving Spouse or a Beneficiary shall be paid from the general assets of the Company.

Related to Top Management Retirement Benefit

  • Retirement Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 5.

  • Normal Retirement Benefit means the benefit described in Section 2.1.

  • Supplemental Retirement Benefit means the benefit determined under Article V of this Plan.

  • Pre-Retirement Survivor Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 6.

  • Retirement Benefits means benefits paid by reference to reaching, or the expectation of reaching, retirement or, where they are supplementary to those benefits and provided on an ancillary basis, in the form of payments on death, disability, or cessation of employment or in the form of support payments or services in case of sickness, indigence or death. In order to facilitate financial security in retirement, these benefits may take the form of payments for life, payments made for a temporary period, a lump sum, or any combination thereof;

  • Early Retirement Benefit means the retirement benefit payable to a member following early

  • Plan Benefit means the benefit payable to a Participant as calculated in Article V.

  • Termination Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 7.

  • Disability Retirement Date means the first day of the month following the last day of paid employment;

  • Accrued Benefit means the amount standing in a Participant's Account(s) as of any date derived from both Employer contributions and Employee contributions, if any.

  • Normal Retirement Date means the later of the Normal Retirement Age or Termination of Employment.

  • Earliest Retirement Age means the earliest date on which, under the Plan, the Participant could elect to receive retirement benefits.

  • Death Benefit means the insurance amount payable under the Certificate at death of the Insured, subject to all Certificate provisions dealing with changes in the amount of insurance and reductions or termination for age or retirement. It does not include any amount that is only payable in the event of Accidental Death.

  • Retirement Date means the date as of which a Participant retires for reasons other than Total and Permanent Disability, whether such retirement occurs on a Participant's Normal Retirement Date or Late Retirement Date (see Section 6.1).

  • Disability Support Pension means the Commonwealth pension scheme to provide income security for persons with a disability as provided under the Social Security Act 1991, as amended from time to time, or any successor to that scheme.

  • Public benefit means making capital available, or facilitating the availability of capital, to businesses in this state that have 750 or fewer employees, the intent of which is to create or retain employment opportunities for residents of this state, stabilize or increase the tax base of this state, or support the redevelopment of facilities for use by small businesses.

  • Retirement Age means the earlier to occur of:

  • Deferred Retirement Date means, in the case of any Participant who continues in employment after his Normal Retirement Date, the first day of any month following his actual retirement.

  • Normal Retirement Age means the Executive's 65th birthday.

  • Disability retirement for plan 1 members, means the period

  • Individual retirement account means a trust, custodial arrangement, or annuity under Section 408(a) or (b), Internal Revenue Code of 1954 (26 U.S.C. Section 408 (1986)).

  • Supplemental Benefit means the monthly benefit payable to the Executive under this Agreement.

  • SERP has the meaning assigned thereto in Section 5(c) hereof.

  • Normal Retirement means retirement from active employment with the Company or any Subsidiary on or after age 65.

  • Retirement Eligible means that the Participant has either attained age 55 and completed ten (10) years of Service as an Employee or attained age 60 and completed five (5) years of Service as an Employee.

  • retirement annuity contract means a contract or scheme approved under Chapter III of Part XIV of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988;
