Tenant with a disability definition

Tenant with a disability means (i) a person with a disability or (ii) a household in which any member is a person with a disability.
Tenant with a disability means a tenant who has a physical or mental impairment which restricts one or more major life activities, including functions such as caring for one's self, performing manual tasks, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, breathing, learning, or working.
Tenant with a disability means a tenant who has a disability as defined in section 3(1)(A) of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, approved July 26, 1990 (104 Stat. 329; 42 U.S.C. § 12102(1)(A)).

Examples of Tenant with a disability in a sentence

  • A service animal or an assistance animal that assists a Tenant with a disability, Additional Occupant named in Section 1.1 with a disability, or Child named in Section 1.1 with a disability is permitted to reside in the Rental Property.

  • Tenant with a disability – a tenant who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities of such individual, in accordance with § 3(1)(A) of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, approved July 26, 1990 (104 Stat.

  • Landlord may request supporting documentation verifying the need of a service/assistance animal.NOTICE: A Landlord cannot require a Tenant with a disability accompanied by a service/assistance animal to pay a security deposit and/or additional rent for the service/assistance animal.

  • A Tenant with a disability may submit a request to the Owner for a reasonable accommodation to have a service/assistance animal on the Premises, pursuant to the Fair Housing Act (FHAct), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or any other applicable federal, state or local law.

  • A Tenant with a disability who has a physical or mental impairment that limits one or more of a person's major life activities within the meaning of the California Fair Housing and Employment Act pursuant to California Government Code section 12926.

  • Costs for Administrative transfers to move a Tenant with a disability to a more suitable unit, or a Tenant without a disability out of an accessible unit, or to permit modernization, rehabilitation, demolition, disposition or revitalization shall be paid by the PHA.

  • The only exception is for a Tenant with a disability, consent will only be in the form of an addendum to the Lease signed by Tenant and Landlord or authorized agent with no additional pet deposit.

Related to Tenant with a disability

  • Student with a disability is defined as an individual who: ● is still enrolled in secondary school and has not exited, graduated, or withdrawn; ● is at least 14 years old but less than 22; ● and has a disability (i.e., receives services under an IEP or 504 plan, or has a disability for purposes of section 504). The limited Pre-ETS that may be provided, based on identified need and the availability of services, include: ● Job exploration counseling ● Work-based learning experiences, which may include in-school or after school opportunities, experiences outside of the traditional school setting, and/or internships ● Counseling on opportunities for enrollment in comprehensive transition or post- secondary educational programs ● Workplace readiness training to develop social skills and independent living ● Instruction in self-advocacy Authorizations for Pre-ETS. DORS only pays for Pre-ETS services that have been previously authorized by a DORS official in writing. Pre-ETS Reporting: Completion of the Pre-Employment Transition Services Progress Report (Rs10f), Work Based Learning Experience Agreement (Rs10g), Work Based Learning Experience on site workplace readiness Training Report (Rs10e), or approved alternative form is required at the conclusion of the training or at agreed upon intervals.

  • Child with a disability means a child who, by reason of any of the following, needs special education and related services:

  • Person with a disability means a person who is a citizen or lawful resident of the United States and is a person qualifying as a person with a disability under subdivision (2.1) of this subsection (A).

  • Individual with a disability means an individual who:

  • Partial Disability or "Partially Disabled" means you, as a result of Injury or Sickness, are able to:

  • mental disability means one or more mental disorders, as defined in the most recent edition of the American Psychiatric Association's "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders", or a record of or regarding a person as having one or more such disorders;

  • Service-connected disability means a disability incurred or aggravated in the line of duty in the active military, naval, or air service as described in 38 USC 101(16).

  • Person with a developmental disability means a person

  • Physical disability means a severe, chronic condition that is attributable to a physical impairment that results in substantial limitations of physical functioning in three or more of the following areas of major life activities: self-care, receptive and expressive language, learning, mobility, self-direction, capacity for independent living, and economic self-sufficiency.

  • Termination due to Disability means a termination of the Executive’s employment by the Company because the Executive has been incapable, after reasonable accommodation, of substantially fulfilling the positions, duties, responsibilities and obligations set forth in this Agreement because of physical, mental or emotional incapacity resulting from injury, sickness or disease for a period of (A) six (6) consecutive months or (B) an aggregate of nine (9) months (whether or not consecutive) in any twelve (12) month period. Any question as to the existence, extent or potentiality of the Executive’s disability shall be determined by a qualified physician selected by the Company with the consent of the Executive, which consent shall not be unreasonably withheld. The Executive or the Executive’s legal representatives or any adult member of the Executive’s immediate family shall have the right to present to such physician such information and arguments as to the Executive’s disability as he, she or they deem appropriate, including the opinion of the Executive’s personal physician.

  • Disability means total and permanent disability as defined in Section 22(e)(3) of the Code.

  • Recurrent Disability means a Disability caused by an Injury or Sickness that is the same as, or related to, the cause of a prior Disability for which Monthly Benefits were payable. A Recurrent Disability will be treated as follows.

  • Disability/Disabled means because of Injury or Sickness you are unable to perform the material duties of your Regular Occupation, or are receiving disability benefits under the Employer's plan, during the initial 9 months of Disability. Thereafter, you must be unable to perform all of the material duties of any occupation which you may reasonably become qualified based on education, training or experience, or are subject to the terms of a Rehabilitation Plan approved by the Insurance Company.

  • Catastrophic disability means a physical and not a psychological

  • Complete Disability as used herein shall mean the inability of Employee, due to illness, accident, or other physical or mental incapacity, to perform the services required under the Agreement for an aggregate of ninety (90) days within any period of 180 consecutive days during the term hereof; provided, however, that disability shall not constitute a basis for discharge for cause;

  • Qualified individual with a disability means an individual with a disability who satisfies the requisite skill, experience, education and other job-related requirements of the employment position such individual holds or desires, and who, with or without reasonable accommodation, can perform the essential functions of such position.

  • Disability Termination means termination by the Company of the Executive’s employment by reason of the Executive’s incapacitation due to disability. The Executive will be deemed to be incapacitated due to disability if at the end of any month the Executive is unable to perform substantially all of the Executive’s duties under this Agreement in the normal and regular manner due to illness, injury or mental or physical incapacity, and has been unable so to perform for either (i) three consecutive full calendar months then ending, or (ii) 90 or more of the normal working days during the 12 consecutive full calendar months then ending. Nothing in this paragraph alters the Company’s obligations under applicable law, which may, in certain circumstances, result in the suspension or alteration of the foregoing time periods.

  • Permanent partial disability means a permanent disability

  • Accidental disability means a physical or mental condition that

  • Pregnancy disability means a pregnancy-related medical condition or miscarriage.

  • Disability or Disabled means that during the Elimination Period and your Own Occupation Period you are, as a result of Physical Disease, Injury, Mental Disorder, Substance Abuse or Pregnancy, unable to perform one or more of the Material Duties of your Own Occupation, and, due to such inability, your Work Earnings are less than 80% of your Indexed Predisability Earnings, and you are incapable of earning 80% or more of your Indexed Predisability Earnings. Your Work Earnings may be Deductible Income. See the “LTD Benefit Calculation” and “Deductible Income” sections.

  • Permanent Disability means the Employee’s inability to perform the essential functions of the Employee’s position, with or without reasonable accommodation, for a period of at least 120 consecutive days because of a physical or mental impairment.

  • Total Disability means a “permanent and total disability” within the meaning of Section 22(e)(3) of the Code and such other disabilities, infirmities, afflictions or conditions as the Committee by rule may include.

  • Developmental disability means that condition defined in RCW 71A.10.020(5);

  • Service-disabled veteran means a veteran, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(2), with a disability that is service-connected, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(16).

  • Disabled or Disability means Disabled or Disability within the meaning of Section 409A of the Code and the regulations thereunder. Generally, this means that the Participant is unable to engage in any substantial gainful activity by reason of any medically determinable physical or mental impairment which can be expected to result in death or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than 12 months, or is, by reason of any medically determinable physical or mental impairment which can be expected to result in death or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than 12 months, receiving income replacement benefits for a period of not less than three months under an accident and health plan covering Employees of the Employer.
