Disability or Disabled definition

Disability or Disabled means that during the Elimination Period and your Own Occupation Period you are, as a result of Physical Disease, Injury, Mental Disorder, Substance Abuse or Pregnancy, unable to perform one or more of the Material Duties of your Own Occupation, and, due to such inability, your Work Earnings are less than 80% of your Indexed Predisability Earnings, and you are incapable of earning 80% or more of your Indexed Predisability Earnings. Your Work Earnings may be Deductible Income. See the “LTD Benefit Calculation” and “Deductible Income” sections.
Disability or Disabled means you are unable to perform the usual duties of your job as a result of an illness or an injury. Provided your dependent’s condition is certified by a doctor, he or she will be considered disabled if he or she is unable to perform his or her usual daily activities.
Disability or Disabled as applied to Employees, means the continuing inability of the Employee, because of an Illness or Injury, to perform substantially the duties related to his employment for which he is otherwise qualified. The term “Disability or Disabled,” as applied to Dependents, shall mean a physiological or psychological condition which prevents the Dependent from performing normal life functions. Periods of Disability that are not separated by at least ninety (90) days and that are for the same, or substantially the same, condition shall be considered the same Disability.

More Definitions of Disability or Disabled

Disability or Disabled means that a Participant is “totally and permanently disabled” and eligible to receive long-term disability benefits pursuant to the terms and provisions of the long-term disability plan sponsored by the Company or an Affiliate in which the Participant participates.

Upon the request of the Plan Administrator, the Executive must submit proof to the Plan Administrator of the Social Security Administration's or provider's determination.
Disability or Disabled means that a Participant is determined to be totally disabled by the United States Social Security Administration.
Disability or Disabled means the disability of a Participant as defined by the long-term disability plan of the Company in effect for such Participant.
