Significant Business Presence definition

Significant Business Presence means that an EBE has an established place of business in the Onondaga County area at which one or more of its employees are regularly based and that such place of business has a substantial role in the EBE’s performance of a commercially useful function as herein defined. A location utilized solely as a post office box, mail drop or telephone message center or any combination thereof, with no other substantial work function, shall not be construed to constitute a significant business presence.
Significant Business Presence means that a business enterprise with an established place of business in the MSA at which one or more of its employees is regularly based and that such place of business has a substantial role in the business' performance of a commercially useful function as herein defined. A location utilized solely as a post office box, mail drop or telephone message center or any combination thereof, with no other substantial work function, shall not constitute a significant business presence.

  • To qualify as an MBE, the enterprise shall meet the Significant Business Presence requirement as defined herein.

  • Small Business Enterprise (SBE) – a corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship or other legal entity for the purpose of making a profit, which is Independently Owned and Operated by Individuals legally residing in, or that are citizens of, the United States or its territories, and which meets the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for a small business in its particular industry(ies) and meets the Significant Business Presence requirements as defined herein.

  • Notwithstanding any of the above, a location utilized solely as a post office box, mail drop or telephone message center or any combination thereof, with no other substantial work function, shall not be construed to constitute a Significant Business Presence.

  • All bidders that have a Significant Business Presence for at least one year within the corporate limits (i.e., legal geographic boundaries) of the municipalities which comprise the Guilford County Economic Development Alliance (Greensboro, NC; High Point, NC; and Guilford County, NC) (“Local Area”) are Eligible Bidders pursuant to this policy.

  • Business Property means property on which a business is conducted, property rented in whole or in part to others, or held for rental.

  • Significant business transaction means any business transaction or series of transactions that, during any one fiscal year, exceeds the lesser of $25,000 or 5 percent of the total operating expense of a provider.

  • Women-owned business concern means a concern which is at least 51 percent owned by one or more women; or in the case of any publicly owned business, at least 51 percent of its stock is owned by one or more women; and whose management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more women.

  • Business Products means all products or services that have been or are currently sold, licensed, provided, supported, distributed or otherwise disposed of by the Business, including all products or services in development.

  • Material of Environmental Concern means and includes pollutants, contaminants, hazardous wastes, and toxic, radioactive, caustic or otherwise hazardous substances, including petroleum, its derivatives, by-products and other hydrocarbons, or any substance having any constituent elements displaying any of the foregoing characteristics.
