Safety recall definition

Safety recall means a voluntary recall, conducted in accordance with this Code, of a Member’s Product which has, or may have, a Safety Defect, for the purpose of inspecting the Member’s Product and rectifying (or where necessary replacing) the Member’s Product if it is found to have the Safety Defect;
Safety recall means an offer by a manufacturer of motor vehicles or motor vehicle equipment in a foreign country to provide remedial action to address a defect that relates to motor vehicle safety or a failure to comply with an applicable safety standard or guideline, whether or not the manufacturer agrees to pay the full cost of the remedial action.
