Reasonably equivalent definition

Reasonably equivalent means that if the change in carrier results in a modification to the benefit plan the overall plan will provide benefits and services that are reasonably equivalent in value to the benefits provided by the overall plan by the former carrier. The terms of the new plan need not conform exactly to the former plan as long as the test of reasonably equivalent is met. This requires prior notice to and approval (such approval not to be unreasonably withheld) from the Union.
