Participating local authority definition

Participating local authority means the local building official or for factory-built structures the approved third-party agency for the proposed building or structure, provided the official or agency has applied for and been granted permission by the building code commissioner to complete handicapped review certificates.
Participating local authority means a Local Authority that has entered into one or more arrangements to be provided debt funding by the Company.

  • Football Authority means each of the Premier League, The Football League, The Football Association, The Football Association of Wales, FIFA, UEFA and other relevant governing body of association football.

  • Central Authority means the entity designated by the United States or a foreign country described in section 102(e)(iv) to perform the functions specified in the Convention.

  • local authority area means a local authority area as defined in section 1 of the Local Authorities Act, 1992 (Act No. 23 of 1992);

  • Applicable Governmental Authority means the FERC within the United States and the appropriate governmental authority with subject matter jurisdiction over reliability in Canada and Mexico.

  • Local Authority Associated Person means any person associated (within the meaning given in section 69(5) of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989) with any local authority by which the Academy Trust is influenced;

  • Participating Lender has the meaning set forth in Section 2.05(a)(v)(C)(2).

  • Participating agency means any LEA, agency or institution that collects, maintains, or uses personally identifiable information, or from which information is obtained, under Part B of the IDEA.

  • Governmental Authority means the government of the United States or any other nation, or of any political subdivision thereof, whether state or local, and any agency, authority, instrumentality, regulatory body, court, central bank or other entity exercising executive, legislative, judicial, taxing, regulatory or administrative powers or functions of or pertaining to government (including any supra-national bodies such as the European Union or the European Central Bank).

  • Participating Merchant means a Merchant that offers the Online Payment Service as an online payment option on the Merchant’s website.

  • Participating State means a state electing to participate in the uniform program by entering a base state agreement.
