Multi Media Communications System definition

Multi Media Communications System means a system having two or more endpoints or servers, each designed to work with one or more similar or dissimilar endpoints or servers through network or other connections to implement a two-way video and/or audio and/or data conference. Such a system may comprise a support for active use of a network connection, video and/or audio codec functions, a processor for implementing at least connection control functions, and may be implemented in hardware, software, or a combination thereof. Such a system may additionally comprise one or more video monitors, video cameras, audio microphones, audio speakers, audio echo cancellation capabilities, network interfaces utilizing unshielded twisted pair network cabling, graphical user interface capabilities, directories or databases of user information, directories or databases of the capabilities of remote equipment, multi-point capabilities, and data conferencing capabilities. Such a system may be implemented in a manner conducive to desktop operation, meeting room operation, or both.

  • Telecommunications systems means voice, record, and data communications, including management information systems and local data networks that connect to external transmission media, when employed by Government agencies, contractors, and subcontractors to transmit—

  • Communication Services means aeronautical fixed and mobile services to enable ground-to-ground, air-to-ground and air-to-air communications for ATC purposes;

  • Broadband or “Broadband Service” means any service defined as Broadband, or having advanced telecommunications capability, in the most recent Federal Communications Commission inquiry pursuant to Section 706 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 (P.L. 104-104).2

  • public telecommunications network means the public telecommunications infrastructure which enables signals to be conveyed between defined network termination points by wire, by microwave, by optical means or by other electromagnetic means;

  • Networks the Local Area Network, network equipment, computer systems, and local cable infrastructure, at the Sites, to which the Service will be connected. “Installation Fee” – the combined charge for the survey, equipment and the Installation Service, including excess construction charges, as specified on the Service Agreement or other amended documentation following site survey.

  • Online Services means Microsoft-hosted services to which Customer subscribes under this Agreement. It does not include software and services provided under separate license terms.

  • Homemaker services means the professionally directed or supervised simple household maintenance or management services provided by trained homemakers or individuals to families in their own homes.
