Lowest adjacent grade definition

Lowest adjacent grade means elevation of the lowest ground surface that touches any of the exterior walls of a building.

Lowest adjacent grade means the elevation of the ground, sidewalk, patio, deck support, or basement entryway immediately next to the structure and after the completion of construction. It does not include earth that is placed for aesthetic or landscape reasons around a foundation wall.
