Fiber Optic System definition

Fiber Optic System means the Grantee's facility, consisting of a set of closed transmission paths and associated signal generation, reception, and control equipment that is designed to provide Fiber Optic Service to multiple customers within the Service Area.

Fiber Optic System or “System” means the cables, wires, lines, optic fiber, and any associated converters, equipment, or other facilities designed, constructed or occupied by Licensee or others for the purpose of producing, receiving, amplifying or distributing communications along the identified facilities.

  • The Grantee shall reasonably compensate the County for any damage caused by such trimming, or shall, in its sole discretion and at its own cost and expense, with the prior written consent of the County, reasonably replace all trees or shrubs damaged as a result of any construction of the Fiber Optic System undertaken by the Grantee.

  • If, at the end of that time, the Grantee is unsuccessful in procuring a qualified transferee or assignee of its Fiber Optic System which is reasonably acceptable to the County, the Grantee and the County may avail themselves of any rights they may have pursuant to federal or state law.

  • The Fiber Optic System installed by the Grantee pursuant to the terms hereof shall be located so as to cause a minimum of interference with the proper use of Public Ways and with the rights and reasonable convenience of property owners who own property that adjoins any of such Public Ways.

  • The Grantee shall have the right, but not the obligation, to extend the Fiber Optic System into any portion of the Service Area where another operator is providing Fiber Optic Service, into any annexed area which is not contiguous to the present Service Area of the Grantee, or into any area which is financially or technically infeasible due to extraordinary circumstances, such as a runway or freeway crossing.

  • The Fiber Optic System shall not endanger or unreasonably interfere with the safety of Persons or property in the Service Area.

  • No such consent shall be required, however, for a transfer in trust, by mortgage, by other hypothecation, or by assignment of any rights, title, or interest of the Grantee in the Franchise or Fiber Optic System in order to secure indebtedness.

  • Bulk Electric System shall have the meaning provided for in the NERC Glossary of Terms used in Reliability Standards, as it may be amended, supplemented, or restated from time to time.

  • Electric System Upgrades means any Network Upgrades, Distribution Upgrades, or Interconnection Facilities that are determined to be necessary by the CAISO or Participating Transmission Owner, as applicable, to physically and electrically interconnect the Project to the Participating Transmission Owner’s electric system for receipt of Energy at the Point of Interconnection (as defined in the CAISO Tariff) if connecting to the CAISO Grid, or the Interconnection Point, if connecting to a part of the Participating TO’s electric system that is not part of the CAISO Grid.

  • Electric System means all electrical wires, equipment, and other facilities owned or provided by the utility that are used to transmit electricity to customers.

  • Micro wireless facility means a small cell facility that is not larger in dimension than 24 inches in length, 15 inches in width, and 12 inches in height and that has an exterior antenna, if any, not longer than 11 inches.

Types of DCS include but are not limited to DCS 1/0s, DCS 3/1s, and DCS 3/3s, where the nomenclature 1/0 denotes interfaces typically at the DS1 rate or greater with Cross Connection typically at the DS0 rate. This same nomenclature, at the appropriate rate substitution, extends to the other types of DCS specifically cited as 3/1 and 3/3. Types of DCS that cross connect Synchronous Transport Signal level 1 (STS-1 s) or other Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) signals (e.g., STS-3) are also DCS, although not denoted by this same type of nomenclature. DCS may provide the functionality of more than one of the aforementioned DCS types (e.g., DCS 3/3/1 which combines functionality of DCS 3/3 and DCS 3/1). For such DCS, the requirements will be, at least, the aggregation of requirements on the "component" DCS. In locations where automated Cross Connection capability does not exist, DCS will be defined as the combination of the functionality provided by a Digital Signal Cross Connect (DSX) or Light Guide Cross Connect (LGX) patch panels and D4 channel banks or other DS0 and above multiplexing equipment used to provide the function of a manual Cross Connection. Interconnection is between a DSX or LGX to a Switch, another Cross Connection, or other service platform device.

  • Clean coal technology demonstration project means a project using funds appropriated under the heading “Department of Energy—Clean Coal Technology,” up to a total amount of $2,500,000,000 for commercial demonstration of clean coal technology, or similar projects funded through appropriations for the Environmental Protection Agency.
