Common use of Withdrawal of Membership Clause in Contracts

Withdrawal of Membership. By notifying the Auditor-Controller's Department in writing, between August 1 and August 31, any employee may withdraw from Union membership and discontinue paying dues as of the payroll period commencing September 1discontinuance of dues payments to then be reflected in the October 10 paycheck. Immediately upon close of the above mentioned thirty (30) day period the Auditor-Controller shall submit to the Union a list of the employees who have rescinded their authorization for dues deduction. This can only be accomplished if and when agency shop would be rescinded.
