Volunteer Democracy. Elected directors are almost always unpaid volunteers who own units in the community. They may or may not have prior experience with leadership and may or may not have read (or understand) the state condo act or the condominium documents. Sometimes there is a professional management company to assist them and sometimes not. Sometimes these lay leaders are extremely dedicated and capable, and sometimes not. Sometimes they let power or greed go to their head and make decisions that benefit themselves rather than the community. This has led to consumer protection legislation regarding associations. UCIOA and many state condominium acts have seen extensive amendments to the acts adding additional provisions regarding associations.

  • Volunteer Firefighting Leave Leave without pay will be granted when an employee who is a volunteer firefighter is called to duty to respond to a fire, natural disaster or medical emergency.

  • Volunteer Leave 37.01 Subject to operational requirements as determined by the Employer and with an advance notice of at least five (5) working days, the employee shall be granted, in each fiscal year, one (1) day of leave with pay to work as a volunteer for a charitable or community organisation or activity, other than for activities related to the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign.   • Labor Cooperation The Parties shall enhance their communication and cooperation on labor, social security and environment issues through Memorandum of Understanding on Labor Cooperation between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Peru.

  • Company Cooperation The Company will cooperate with the Advisor including, but not limited to, providing to the Advisor and its counsel, on a timely basis, all documents and information regarding the Company and Target that the Advisor may reasonably request or that are otherwise relevant to the Advisor’s performance of its obligations hereunder (collectively, the “Information”); making the Company’s management, auditors, consultants and advisors available to the Advisor; and, using commercially reasonable efforts to provide the Advisor with reasonable access to the management, auditors, suppliers, customers, consultants and advisors of Target. The Company will promptly notify the Advisor of any change in facts or circumstances or new developments affecting the Company or Target or that might reasonably be considered material to the Advisor’s engagement hereunder.

  • Transition Planning The AGENCY will be responsible for the development of the student’s Transition Plan, which begins upon entry and is completed prior to the student’s exit.

  • Audit Cooperation In the event either Party is audited by a taxing authority, the other Party agrees to cooperate fully with the Party being audited in order to respond to any audit inquiries in a proper and timely manner so that the audit and/or any resulting controversy may be resolved expeditiously.
