Common use of Vacation Entitlement for Permanent or Probationary Employees Clause in Contracts

Vacation Entitlement for Permanent or Probationary Employees. A permanent or probationary employee shall be eligible for paid vacation leave in accordance with the following provisions. Years of Continuous Employment with the City Vacation Entitlement (the lesser of the following) 1 or more than 1 15 working days OR 120 working hours 8 or more than 8 20 working days OR 160 working hours 17 or more than 17 25 working days OR 200 working hours 23 or more than 23 30 working days OR 240 working hours A permanent or probationary employee who has not completed a full year of service with the City prior to the commencement of the vacation year, shall be entitled to receive the portion of their earned vacation which was earned prior to the commencement of the vacation year in accordance with the following provision provided that the employee entering the employ of the City after the 15th day of any month shall be considered to have entered the following month to determine their entitlement under these provisions.
