Use of Paid Time. The employee must use all available PTO prior to the start of the leave of absence. When an employee is granted a leave of absence for a period of six months or less, the employee is allowed to retain up to one hundred-twenty hours (120) of accrued PTO if the employee submits a written request to their department prior to the beginning of the leave of absence. The written request will contain the number of hours of PTO the employee will retain.
