Family Care. An employee is entitled to take time off for family care. Normally, up to five (5) days a year may be taken for this purpose. By mutual agreement with his/her supervisor, the employee may pay for this time by using his/her banked overtime, by working back the time over a reasonable period of time, or by taking the time off without pay.
Family Care. 2. The Employer shall maintain an office that provides information, guidance and assistance to Members regarding resources, programs and policies relevant to schools, child care, elder care, parental leaves, and other family concerns.
Family Care. Employees will be authorized to use sick leave or other paid time off to care for a sick family member as required by the Family Care Act, WAC 296-130.
Family Care. A regular employee is entitled to take up to five (5) days per calendar year for the purpose of providing family care to an immediate family member. The employee must pay this time back at a time mutually agreed to by his/her supervisor within three months of taking the absence or by taking time off without pay. The time taken shall be worked back on an hour for hour basis.

An extension of absence may be granted at the discretion of the superintendent/president, subject to the approval of the Governing Board.
