Common use of Union Representative Attendance Clause in Contracts

Union Representative Attendance. When absence from work is required to attend labor-management conferences, employees shall, before leaving their work station, give reasonable notice to and receive approval from, their supervisor in order to remain in pay status. The first supervisor outside the bargaining unit shall approve the absence except in emergency situations. On duty employees attending such conferences shall be limited to one per bargaining unit during time issues affecting the unit(s) are discussed and one representative for the local.
