The Union Representative Visits clause establishes the right of union representatives to access the employer's premises for union-related activities. Typically, this clause outlines the conditions under which visits may occur, such as requiring advance notice, restricting visits to certain areas, or specifying permissible purposes like meeting with employees or investigating grievances. Its core function is to facilitate effective communication between union representatives and employees while balancing the employer's need to maintain workplace order and security.
Union Representative Visits. The Union shall inform the Employer in advance whenever the designated representatives of the Union intend to visit the Employer’s premises for the purpose of conducting Union business. Such visits shall not interfere with the normal operations of the worksite. Reasonable accommodation will be made to allow the Presidents of the Unions to have access to union members to conduct union business.
Union Representative Visits. An authorized representative or executive officer of the Union shall be permitted, after notifying the General Manager, to talk with an employee regarding Union matters during regular working hours. The interview of such employee by the Union representative or executive officer shall be carried on in a place provided for and designated by the Co-operative. Time taken for such an interview in excess of fifteen (15) minutes shall not be on the Co-operative's time.

Upon proper introduction and notice to the Superintendent or his/her designee of his/her intent to be present on the worksite and the reason(s), the Agency will allow a Union Representative(s) of Local Council 75 reasonable access to the worksite during working hours. Every good faith effort shall be made to give advance notice of the visit. Such visits will not interfere with the normal flow of work. During periods of emergencies, this provision may be temporarily suspended by the Agency as required for the duration of the emergency.
