TUNNEL WORK. Wage Rates and working conditions for tunnel Employees working under compressed air shall be those set forth in the National Tunnel Agreement, Midwest Region, between the Laborers International Union AFL-CIO, and the Underground Contractors Association of Chicago and Vicinity, Midwest Division.
TUNNEL WORK. The rates of wages during regular day shift working periods on tunnel work shall be: Group 1: Labourers (on surface) including labourers on stipping and tabular scaffolding, erectors, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’▇ helpers (on surface) Dinky motorman, small mixers (under 1 yard), sheeting and shoring man, pipelayers helper, mortarman, concrete workers (screedman-puddler- floatman), form setters, farm tractor driver (no excavating attachment), Group 2: Pitbottom man, caulkers, cage-signalman, plain and reinforced concrete ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, scootcrete, underground labourers, muckers, loco-driver, labourers on wellpoints in tunnel, concrete vibrator man, pipelayer in tunnel, manhole constructor and valve chamber constructor in tunnel, rigger burner, chucktender, concrete smoother, conveyor belt labourer, needle beam labourer. Group 3: Operators of Jackhammers and air-spades in tunnel, miners including jeck-leg and stopper man, drillers-all types, locktenders, trackman, yard and materials man, diamond-driller, wagon driller, pit miner on caisson, underpinning or shaft sinking, sandblaster gunite man, shotcrete man, powder man, lead concrete man, lead caulker (where 4 or more caulkers are employed on one contract). Group 4: Slush driver, muck-machine driver, grout machine man, driver of concrete placing machine in tunnel, Scoop-Tram, and segment builder. Group 5: Lead miner, T.B.M. and micro tunnel operators, tunnel shield driver, tunnel mole driver, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ form builder-fabricator-erector, welder (certified) in tunnel (rod or semi-automatic). Group 6: Welder (certified) with own rig (rod or semi-automatic). Group 7: Flagperson. GROUP 8: Watch Person (for 6 night’s duty, 50 hours per week).
TUNNEL WORK. Employees engaged in tunnel work where the tunnel exceeds fifteen (15) feet overall shall receive fifty cents (50¢) per hour extra while engaged in this work. The length of the tunnel shall be determined by adding together the width of the shaft, if any, and the length of the tunnel proper.

TUNNEL WORK. 1. All work inside new tunnels, adits, or shafts, shall be paid at the Tunnel rate of pay equal to one and one eighth (1 1/8X) the rates covered by this Agreement. This Section is not to include “utility” tunnels that run between buildings. 2. Whenever there is electrical construction, maintenance, or temporary work, of either power, lighting or communication to be performed in or about a tunnel, shaft, or adit, it shall be done by electricians employed under the terms of this Agreement. This shall also be interpreted to include all electrical maintenance or repair work, and battery charging and changing on battery-operated electric motors. 3. Electricians shall not be required to enter the heading after a blast until all the requirements of the State Safety Codes have been fully complied with. 4. All electrical work performed in Tunnels under the terms of this Agreement shall be governed by all applicable safety orders and all provisions of CAL/OSHA. 5. The daily reporting, or starting point, shall be the electrical shop or Tunnel entrance, if adjacent to a suitable, available parking lot -- otherwise from such a parking lot. Employee’s daily pay shall start and end at this reporting place. 6. The Employer shall furnish electricians, without charge, rubber boots, raincoats, and protective helmets when needed in and about the Tunnel. The employee shall be responsible for these items and shall return them to the Employer at the time of termination.

TUNNEL WORK. Notwithstanding the other provisions of Section 5D(4), employees working underground in tunnels shall work seven (7) hours and shall receive the regular straight time rate for eight (8) hours when working on two (2) or three (3) shift jobs. All employees working underground shall receive ($.15) per hour above the classification in which they are working. This shall be in addition to the hourly rate provided in Section 4(A). Teamster employees working underground shall have dry-house rights on any tunnel project provided a dry-house is on the project.

  • Construction Work The regulation at 41 C.F.R. § 60-1.3 defines “construction work” as the construction, rehabilitation, alteration, conversion, extension, demolition or repair of buildings, highways, or other changes or improvements to real property, including facilities providing utility services. The term also includes the supervision, inspection, and other onsite functions incidental to the actual construction.

  • Extra Work At any time during the Term of this Agreement, City may request that Consultant perform Extra Work. As used herein, “Extra Work” means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement. Consultant shall not perform, nor be compensated for, Extra Work without written authorization from City’s Representative.

  • THE WORK The Work comprises the completed construction required by the Contract Documents and includes all labor necessary to produce such construction, and all materials and equipment incorporated or to be incorporated in such construction.

  • Project Work PURCHASER shall complete the following projects in accordance with the specifications provided in Exhibits B, C, D, E, and F and written instructions from STATE. Project locations are shown on Exhibit A unless otherwise described. PURCHASER shall furnish all material unless otherwise specified.
