TRANSPLANT SURGERY DISABILITY BENEFIT. We will consider you as Disabled if you otherwise meet the definition of Disabled as a result of your having surgery to transplant part of your body to someone else. The transplant surgery must occur after the Policy Effective Date. EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS EXCLUSIONS FROM COVERAGE We will not pay benefits for: • disability caused or contributed to by war, declared or undeclared, or any act or incident of war, or which resulted from military training, military action or military conflict while you are on active duty in the military service; • the first 90 days of your Disability due to pregnancy or childbirth, except for Complications Of Pregnancy; • disability caused or contributed to by your committing or attempting to commit a felony, or your being engaged in an illegal occupation; • disability caused or contributed to by your actively participating in a violent disorder or riot. “Actively participating” does not include your being at the scene of a violent disorder or riot while performing your official duties; • disability while you are confined for any reason to a penal or correctional institution;or • intentionally self-inflicted Injury.

  • Long Term Disability Benefit In the event an employee, while covered under this plan, becomes totally disabled as a result of an accident or a sickness, then, after the employee has been totally disabled for seven (7) months, including periods approved in Section 1.3(a) and (c), he/she shall be eligible to receive a monthly benefit as follows:

  • Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL) - An employee is eligible for continuation of MPS in accordance with applicable law.

  • Disability Retirement If, as a result of your incapacity due to physical or mental illness, You shall have been absent from the full-time performance of your duties with the Company for 6 consecutive months, and within 30 days after written notice of termination is given You shall not have returned to the full-time performance of your duties, your employment may be terminated for "Disability." Termination of your employment by the Company or You due to your "Retirement" shall mean termination in accordance with the Company's retirement policy, including early retirement, generally applicable to its salaried employees or in accordance with any retirement arrangement established with your consent with respect to You.

  • Leave for Pregnancy Disability 10.6.1 Unit members are entitled to use sick leave as set forth in Sections 10.2.1, 10.2.2, and 10.2.3 for disabilities caused or contributed to by pregnancy, miscarriage, childbirth, and recovery therefrom on the same terms and conditions governing leaves of absence from other illness or medical disability.   • Short Term Disability Benefits Paragraph 1: The Board shall provide short term disability benefits as set forth in the Short Term Disability Summary Plan Description. Short term disa- bility benefits for disabilities resulting from non-occupational illness or injury, shall be paid at the rate of 70% of the teacher’s regular daily rate, subject to all applicable deductions. A teacher may choose to save up to five (5) accumulat- ed temporary leave days. Following the exhaustion of temporary leave, there is a five day waiting period before short term disability benefits begin. The five day waiting period will be waived for absences greater than 30 calendar days and short term disability payments shall be paid retroactively.

  • Disability If, as a result of the Executive's incapacity due to physical or mental illness, the Executive shall have been absent from his duties with the Company on a full-time basis for six months and within 30 days after written notice of termination is thereafter given by the Company the Executive shall not have returned to the full-time performance of the Executive's duties, the Company may terminate this Agreement for "Disability."
