Common use of Telephone Standby Time Clause in Contracts

Telephone Standby Time. (1) When an employee is placed on telephone standby by the District Attorney, or the judge of the court, the employee is required, at no cost to the City, to notify the Court Liaison Office, and the employee's immediate supervisor, of the court order. If the standby requirement has been confirmed by the Department, the employee will be compensated at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times their regular rate of pay for only those hours that the court is actually in session.
