Teacher's Working Day. The length of the school day for each teacher within the District shall be seven (7) hours, exclusive of a thirty (30) minute duty-free lunch time. For the District- Wide Positions (Counselors, Librarian, Psychologist, Social Studies Specialist, and positions of a similar nature) the length of the working day shall be eight (8) hours when they are working at their permanent duty station. The District-wides are not entitled to additional compensation for hours worked beyond the working day or for weekend counseling and/or crisis intervention activities. However, for such work, the District-wides are eligible for flex time upon the approval of the Superintendent or his/her designee.

Teacher's Working Day. Teachers are required to be available 15 minutes before instructional time begins and 30 minutes after instructional time ends. They shall stay for as long as is required to complete their professional duties for the day, and this should not exceed eight (8) hours, excluding co-curricular duties and District scheduled Parent-Teacher Conferences. Teachers may leave early with administrative approval. On days preceding vacations or holidays the Teachers' day shall end at the close of the student school day.

  • Standard Work Day The standard work day for non-shift employees shall be seven (7) hours exclusive of the meal period.

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week shall be thirty-five (35) hours and is composed of five (5) consecutive standard work days.

  • Standard Workweek Except as noted below the standard workweek for full-time employees consists of five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour days, Monday through Friday each week. Non-overtime hours and starting and quitting times for such employees shall be the same throughout the standard workweek. The standard workweek does not apply to the following:

  • Teacher Work Day The term of contract for employees shall be one hundred ninety (190) days (maximum one hundred eighty (180) student days). Any extension of the term of contract shall be paid in full day increments and be paid at the rate of one-one hundred ninetieth (1/190) of the regular salary of the employee. The maximum daily hours of work for employees shall be 465 continuous minutes and shall include a minimum of thirty (30) minutes continuous, duty-free lunch period. No more than 375 minutes shall be student contact time. The teaching staff will receive one full day at the end of each quarter to be used in preparation of grades for report cards and conferences. The hours of work for all professional employees shall be 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., four (4) days a week, with the exception of days on which staff meetings are held, grades are prepared, and staff in- service days. Sixty (60) minutes will be used for collaboration on Wednesday mornings from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The hours of work for all professional employees on Wednesdays shall be 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the exception of days on which staff meetings are held, grades are prepared, and staff in-service days. Assignment of students for a new school year to classrooms and schedules shall be done in a fair and equitable manner to promote a variety of strengths, needs and equal numbers of each classroom. The Administration shall make reasonable effort to ensure that assignments are made collaboratively, considering such issues as special needs, behavior, attendance and academic levels. Collaborative input may include regular and special education staff, para-educators, teaching specialist and administrators. In the event of a change in the student day, the Association will be informed of such change and given an opportunity to respond, provided, however, that exceptions to this section may occur in the event of emergencies or acts of God. The District shall make every reasonable effort to increase the amount of collaboration time available to professional employees within the normal work day. Xxx Xxxxxxxx shall make every reasonable effort to ensure equitable workload distribution and student contact time amongst staff members.

  • Four Day Work Week Schedule i. When working under the four (4) day work week schedule, Employees shall be paid at double time (2x) the regular hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the regular ten (10) hours per day Monday through Thursday.

  • Sunday Work Employees required to work overtime on Sundays shall be paid for a minimum of three hours work at double time. The double time is to be paid until the employee is relieved from duty.

  • Four Day Work Week 26 1. If a holiday falls on an employee's first or second scheduled day 27 off, the preceding work day will be observed as that employee's holiday, or the 28 employee may choose to bank the holiday leave hours.

  • Work Day and Work Week (A) The normal hours of work for all full-time employees shall be thirty-five (35) hours per week, or seventy (70) hours per two consecutive weeks. All employees are entitled to thirty-two (32) consecutive hours free from work each week, unless overtime rates are paid, as per Article 29.02.

  • Weekend Work (a) Overtime work on Saturday shall be paid for at the rate of time and a half (1.5) for the first two (2) hours and double time thereafter, provided that all overtime worked after 12 noon on Saturday shall be paid for at the rate of double time.

  • Work Day/Work Week 1. The work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days Monday through Friday of no more than eight (8) hours per day and no more than forty (40) hours per work week. This shall not restrict the extension of the employee’s usual and customary workday or workweek when such is necessary to carry on the business of the School District. Employees who actually work more than forty (40) hours per week will receive overtime pay (time-and-a-half).
