Common use of Teacher Absence Clause in Contracts

Teacher Absence. L11.13.01 The Board shall provide an Occasional Teacher when a Teacher is absent for reasons authorized by the Collective Agreement (i.e., absence codes) or for the purpose of Board-approved professional development or training.

Teacher Absence. L11.13.01 The Board shall provide an Occasional Teacher when a Teacher is absent for reasons authorized absent. Teachers will not be required to cover other Teacher absences, except in exceptional circumstances, where an Occasional Teacher, either qualified or unqualified, is not currently available. In such circumstances missed prep time will be paid back in accordance with Article 11.05.08. Teachers will not be required to assume the instructional and/or supervision duties caused by the Collective Agreement (i.e.a staff member’s absence, absence codes) or for the purpose of Board-approved professional development or trainingexcept in exceptional circumstances as referenced above.

Teacher Absence. L11.13.01 The Board shall provide an Occasional Teacher occasional teacher when a Teacher teacher is absent for reasons authorized in accordance with Regulation 298, Section 21. Teachers will not be required to assume the instructional or supervisory duties caused by another teacher’s absence. It is recognized that there may be exceptional circumstances as determined by the Collective Agreement (i.e.Board, absence codes) or for when program needs may be unaffected, where an occasional teacher may not be provided by the purpose of Board-approved professional development or training.
