Reporting Absence. Staff who cannot report to work because of sickness or other reasons are expected to telephone within fifteen (15) minutes of their normal starting time, to advise their supervisor of the expected time of their return to work. Staff members who commence work at 16:00 hours or later will make every effort to inform their supervisor(s) of their pending absences as early in the day as possible, and no later than 12:00 hours for the 16:00 hour or 18:00 hour shifts, or 15:00 hours for the midnight shift. However, employees failing to provide notice as stipulated in this Article through circumstances beyond their control shall not be deemed to have violated any of the terms of this Agreement. Staff should inform their supervisor of the reason for their absence. In the event of illness, exact medical reasons need not be given.
Reporting Absence. If an employee is unable to report to work for any reason, she shall so advise her immediate supervisor as soon as possible after the commencement of the normal business hours, her illness permitting, and at the same time, shall discuss with the supervisor the status and nature of her workload in order that the operation of the applicable area may be carried on efficiently during the employee's absence. The employee shall note any absence from work and the reason therefore on the attendance record immediately following her return to work. An employee absent from work hereunder shall, in advance of returning to work, advise her immediate supervisor of her return and make arrangements with the supervisor for such return.
Reporting Absence. An employee who is absent due to one of the above reasons must report his absence one (1) hour before his shift begins or prior to reporting off sick while on duty.
Reporting Absence. In addition to any school building internal procedure, anticipated absences by a teacher from work shall be reported by way of the online substitute management system implemented by the District. Absences needing to be reported after 7:00 a.m. on the day of such absence, or otherwise not able to be reported using the District’s online substitute management system, shall be reported to the school’s head secretary, or designee.
Reporting Absence. An employee who is unable to report for work for any reason will notify the Company sixty (60) minutes before the beginning of his/her shift.
Reporting Absence. The Superintendent shall require an employee to furnish an Absence Report to justify the use of sick leave. Absence Reports will be furnished electronically on the HR Kiosk. If medical attention is required, a certificate stating the nature of the illness from a licensed physician may be required to justify the use of sick leave beyond three (3) consecutive days. Falsification of the aforementioned report or the physician's certificate shall be grounds for disciplinary action. (Reference Section 3319.141 ORC).
Reporting Absence. A Teacher who is absent from school shall report the absence through sub-finder as well as contacting the School/principal via email or telephone.
Reporting Absence a. Since substitutes must be secured in some cases, and the adjustment of work assignments made in all cases, the immediate supervisor shall be notified by phone as soon as it is apparent that absence from duty will be necessary. This should be no later than one (1) hour before the employee is due on the job. In case of prolonged illness, the immediate supervisor should be kept informed of the probable time the employee will be absent.
Reporting Absence. 1. Employees shall give notice of absence for any reason on the reporting system at least ONE (1) HOUR BEFORE HER/HIS STARTING TIME ON THE DAY OF HER/HIS ABSENCE. The employee's intent to return shall be reported on the reporting system at least ONE (1) HOUR BEFORE STARTING TIME ON THE DAY OF RETURN. Failure to meet the requirements may result in forfeiture of pay for the day.
Reporting Absence. In order to receive compensation while on sick leave, the employee shall notify the Director of Public Works or the Director’s designee as early as possible before the start of the regularly scheduled work day.
