Supports for Students. ● A group of practitioners and district leaders have developed an FAQ (see Appendix A of this SLA) to provide guidance related to academic and social-emotional supports and safety nets. ● Student attendance during the COVID-19 school closures should not be a factor in determining a student’s grade/mark. ○ Practitioners with classes should use their expertise to support students and families to encourage engagement in Distance Learning and help identify and eliminate barriers for student participation ○ Practitioners should notify their administrators in the event they are having difficulty connecting with families and students that are not engaging during Distance Learning. Attendance ● Practitioners will not be required to take student attendance during our distance learning implementation.
