Whenever Teachers Sample Clauses

Whenever Teachers are mutually scheduled by the parties to participate during working hours in conferences or meetings or in negotiations respecting the collective bargaining agreement, they shall suffer no loss in pay. To plan for, study and to participate in mutually established committees relating to the collective bargaining agreement and educational reform as proposed by DCPS, DCPS agrees to release during the year and during working hours a reasonable number of Teachers upon request of the WTU President. The President shall submit to the Chancellor for approval the names of WTU Teachers proposed for release in accordance with a predetermined schedule at least three (3) days prior to any meeting.

  • New Teachers 15.1 The Board agrees to acquaint new teachers with the fact that this Agreement is in effect and with the deductions provided for in Article 52 of the Teachers’ Provincial Agreement.

  • Long-Term Substitute Teachers A long-term substitute teacher is defined as a teacher appointed by the Board of Education to fill a temporary teaching vacancy in a classroom for a period of ninety (90) consecutive days or longer. Long-term substitute teachers are entitled to all the rights and privileges accorded a first year teacher, prorated for the period of appointment.
