Common use of Supply and Maintenance of Equipment Clause in Contracts

Supply and Maintenance of Equipment. The Employer will furnish and maintain all equipment, furniture, machinery and supplies required by employees in the performance of their duties. Employees shall not suffer any loss in salary in the event that they cannot carry out their normal duties by reason of the Employer failing to furnish or properly maintain equipment, machinery or supplies. Where an employee suffers damage to their attire due to improperly maintained equipment, the Employer shall reimburse the employee for repair or, where repair is inappropriate, replacement of the clothing article, providing the Employer had been advised of the problem prior to the incident or could reasonably be expected to anticipate that such a problem was imminent.
