Common use of Summer Assignments Clause in Contracts

Summer Assignments. ‌ Full-time Faculty shall be given first consideration for summer assignment. The Xxxx/Associate or Assistant Xxxx retains full authority to make or withhold the summer assignment. A denied Faculty Member will be given, upon request, the reason for refusal and a method for appeal. The appeal will be limited to the Xxxx and Vice-President for Academic Affairs. Full-time Faculty shall request summer assignment on the summer Assignment Information Form and shall submit the form to the appropriate Xxxx by January 7. No full-time Faculty will be entitled to first consideration in a teaching assignment in the summer which is substantially different from the Faculty Member's two-semester or nine-month appointment.
