Common use of Student Demographics Clause in Contracts

Student Demographics. As required by the Colorado Charter Schools Act, C.R.S. § 22-30.5-104(3), School enrollment procedures shall be conducted by the School in a nondiscriminatory manner. The School shall implement a recruitment and enrollment plan that ensures that it is open to any child who resides in the District. The School is committed to the goal of enrolling and retaining a student population that will be reasonably representative of the percentage of students that are eligible for free or reduced lunch, English language learners, and special education programs within the District average, taking into account the demographics of other public schools within a reasonable proximity to the School. The Parties acknowledge that the School’s good faith effort to enroll and retain said representative populations, may not, in and of itself, ensure achievement of this goal, and that as a public school, the School cannot turn away students that meet its enrollment procedures as described in Attachment 9.
