Common use of Strikes and Lockouts Prohibited Clause in Contracts

Strikes and Lockouts Prohibited. The Parties hereto recognize that it is essential for the health, safety and public welfare of the County that services to the public be without interruption and that the right to strike is forbidden by the Statutes of the State of Michigan. Any employee guilty of engaging in a slowdown, work stoppage, or strike, shall be subject to disciplinary action up to and including discharge. The Employer agrees that it shall not lock out its employees.
