STATUTORY HOLIDAYS AND FLOATING HOLIDAYS. 40.1 The following days are recognized by Inergi as Statutory Holidays: New Year’s Day Christmas Day Good Friday Boxing Day Victoria Day Labour Day Canada Day Thanksgiving Day Civic Holiday Easter Monday If a Statutory Holiday falls on a day when an employee is off on sick leave, pay is not charged against sick leave credits for that day. A Statutory Holiday falling within an employee's vacation period is not counted as part of the vacation, but is taken as an extra day of holiday. Payment for statutory holidays will be on the basis of straight time for the normal hours of work per day.
