Special Merit Increment. 18.02.5.1 The Employer shall set aside a sum of $3,000 for merit awards which shall be made annually on the basis of merit to at least one (1) person, but not more than two (2), as a lump sum which shall not become part of regular salary, unless the Special Merit Awards Committee recommends to the Vice-President Academic that no nominees are deserving of a merit award, in which case no merit award need be given in that year. The disposition of these awards shall be decided by the Vice-President Academic as set out in the "Special Merit Awards" document issued by the Vice-President Academic on January 26, 1994.

  • Merit Increases (a) Subject to documented assessment and performance review undertaken pursuant to the Performance Management System, an employee on anniversary date may be granted an increase of up to five pay increments in the pay scale, not to exceed the control point maximum.

  • Longevity Increment All unit members who have completed the required years of District service, as defined below, shall be eligible to receive a longevity increment.

If a step increase is provided, it shall be granted to those employees who receive an overall performance evaluation rating of “Effective” or higher. An employee who receives an overall performance evaluation of less than “Effective” shall not be eligible for the Board approved step increase; however, if the affected employee receives an overall performance evaluation of “Effective” or higher for the succeeding year he/she shall be granted the withheld step but not on a retroactive basis.

  • Annual Increments (a) For regular full-time Employees, a one-step increase within the salary range shall become effective as of the first day of April or the first day of October as the case may be. Where the anniversary date of an initial appointment falls between January 1 and June 30, the date of the increment increase will be April 1, and where between July 1 and December 31, the date of the increment increase will be October 1.
