Common use of Short Term Layoff Clause in Contracts

Short Term Layoff. (a) The Employer shall provide employees with notice of a short-term layoff of no less than twenty-eight (28) calendar days. A copy of the notice will be sent to the Union.

Short Term Layoff. (a) The Employer shall provide employees the Union with no less than 30 calendar days' notice of a short-short term layoff. In giving such notice, the Employer will indicate to the Union the reasons causing the layoff of no less than twenty-eight (28) calendar days. A copy and the anticipated duration of the notice layoff, and will identify the employees likely to be sent affected. If requested, the Employer will meet with the Union to review the Unioneffect on employees in the bargaining unit.
