Short term absence without pay. An Employee who has completed the probationary period may be granted a short term absence without pay, for a period not to exceed thirty (30) work days, provided it does not interfere with Hospital operations. Such short term absence shall be for valid reasons such as family illness or urgent personal business. All accrued vacation must be used before the short term absence without pay begins.
