Shift Cycle - Before. April 10, 2006 Shift cycles for operating employees shall be as follows: Availability of controllers for overtime shall be the same in units which adopt the "34/22 shift cycle" as in units on the "17/11 shift cycle" (65 days annually), even though this means that employees in the former units will not always enjoy two consecutive days of rest. There will be no gain or loss of pay or hours in transitioning to or from either of these shift cycles.

  • Leave Allowed Before Due Date 7.1.10(a) An employer may allow an employee to take annual leave either wholly or partly in advance before the leave becomes due. In such case, a further period of annual leave will not commence to accrue until after the expiration of the 12 months in respect of which the annual leave or part of it had been taken before it accrued.

  • Twelve Hour Shifts Employees shall be entitled, subject to exigencies of patient care and/or departmental requirements, to rest periods during the shift of a total of forty-five (45) minutes.

  • Leave Year The leave year begins with the first full payroll period of a calendar year and ends with the payroll period in which December 31st falls.

  • Loading on Annual Leave During a period of annual leave an employee will receive a loading calculated on the rate of wage prescribed by subclause 7.1.3. The loading shall be as follows:

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday.

  • Twelve Month Employees A member of the unit who is employed on a twelve (12) month 19 basis shall be allowed paid vacation leave, exclusive of holidays, as follows:

  • Unpaid Leave - After Three Years For every three (3) years' continuous service, an employee may request, in writing, an extended unpaid leave of absence, giving the longest possible advance notice. Every reasonable effort shall be made to comply with such requests providing that replacements to ensure proper operation of the Employer's business can be found. Notice of the Employer's decision shall be in writing.
