Leave Year. The leave year begins with the first full payroll period of a calendar year and ends with the payroll period in which December 31st falls.

This means that when requesting otherwise available leave under this policy, the university will calculate the amount of leave used within the immediately preceding twelve (12) months of employment and subtract that number from the total number of days equal to twelve (12) work weeks (60 days).
