Common use of Saturday Overtime Clause in Contracts

Saturday Overtime. An employee required to work overtime on a Saturday will be afforded at least four hours work or paid for four hours at the rate of time and one half for the first three hours and double time thereafter, except where the overtime is continuous with overtime commenced on Friday. This provision applies whether or not the employee was notified before or after leaving work at the end of his or her last normal shift.
