Salary Upon Promotion. Effective July 1, 2012 when an employee is promoted from one grade level to a higher grade level he/she shall be placed on the step in the salary schedule for the new position that is closest to but higher than the employee’s rate in the former classification. In no event shall the new salary be higher than the top step of the new classification.
