Salary Upon Promotion. 8.07 An employee promoted to a higher classification shall be classified therein so as to receive at least the salary rate to match the salary in that classification next above that received in the lower classification; provided that his or her increase shall be to the rate which provides an increase which is not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per week except in the case of promotions which are to the top rate in the higher classification in which case the rate to be paid shall be the top rate of the higher classification. Further step-up increases in the new classification shall be paid starting with the pay day next after the anniversary of employment in that higher classification. Temporary Upgrades
