Retired/Disabled. a. Tuition remission as outlined above is granted to: dependent children of employees who are receiving Workers’ Compensation from an injury sustained while working at UVM, employees who are receiving long-term disability (LTD) and/or social security disability income (SSDI), or who retire after becoming eligible for retirement benefits; active employees who become permanently disabled or die after having completed four years of continuous service with the University; and employees who are on a University-granted leave for not more than one year.
