Rest Periods/Meal Breaks. 8.01 The following rest periods and meal breaks shall apply:

Rest Periods/Meal Breaks. 10.5.1 Each unit member who works 3.5 hours per day shall be entitled to a 10-minute paid rest break during the work shift.
Rest Periods/Meal Breaks. Employees shall be provided with an effective paid thirty (30) minute paid rest period/meal break per twelve (12) hour shift, to be taken to facilitate continuous operation of the equipment and not to interfere with the employee's duties. Additional Refreshment breaks of at least 2 x 10 minute breaks may be taken providing continuous operation of the equipment is maintained.
Rest Periods/Meal Breaks. On the twelve (12) hour tour a total of ninety (90) minutes of rest/meal breaks will occur. Forty-five (45) minutes will be paid and forty-five (45) minutes will be unpaid.

Employees required to remain on duty or in the hospital during their meal period shall be compensated for such time at the appropriate rate of pay. All employees shall receive a paid rest period of fifteen (15) minutes for each four (4) hours of working time.

  • Rest Periods and Meal Breaks (a) All employees shall have two (2) fifteen (15) minute rest periods in each work period in excess of six (6) hours, one (1) rest period to be granted before and one (1) after the meal period, provided the staff to child ratio can be maintained. It is understood that meal breaks and rest periods may be combined subject to operational requirements.

  • Meal Breaks and Rest Periods 7.1 Except when required for urgent or emergency work and except as provided in 7.2 below, no employee shall be required to work for more than five hours continuously without being entitled to a meal break of not less than half an hour. There will be only one meal break of not less than half an hour during a 10 hour shift.

  • Rest Period An employee who works overtime shall have at least a ten hour rest period between the end of ordinary hours on any one day and start of ordinary hours on the next day. If on the instructions of the employer, the employee resumes or continues work without having had 10 consecutive hours off duty, the employee shall be paid double time until he or she is released from duty for ten hour rest period. The employee shall then be entitled to be absent without loss of pay for ordinary working hours occurring during the ten hour rest period. In the case of shift workers, eight hours shall be substituted for ten hours when overtime is worked:

  • Rest Periods Employees working a full shift will receive one rest period of fifteen (15) minutes in each half of the shift. Employees working less than a full shift, but a minimum of four (4) hours will receive one fifteen (15) minute rest period.

  • Meal/Rest Periods All nurses shall receive an unpaid meal period of one-half (1/2) hour. Nurses required to remain on duty or in the Hospital during their meal period shall be compensated for such time at the appropriate rate of pay. All nurses shall receive one (1) fifteen

  • Additional Rest Periods When an employee performs authorized overtime work of at least three (3) hours duration, the Hospital will schedule a rest period of fifteen (15) minutes duration.

  • Overtime Rest Periods If an employee is assigned one (1) or more hours of overtime work contiguous to his/her regular workshift or is called back within one (1) hour of his/her scheduled quitting time, the Agency will provide a fifteen (15) minute rest period after two (2) hours of overtime completed.
