Common use of Reporting Pay Guarantee Clause in Contracts

Reporting Pay Guarantee. An employee reporting for work on his/her regular shift and sent home by the employer due to an act of God or some other emergency shall be paid his/her regular rate of pay for the entire period of work, with a minimum of three and one-half hours pay. Where an employee has accumulated sick leave credits and where the employee must leave work due to personal illness, provided that the employee has been at work for at least one hour, there shall be no deduction from the accumulated sick leave credits for the first half day of absence.
