Purpose of Leaves. It is understood by the parties that leaves of absence are to be used for the purpose intended, and employees shall make their intent known when applying for such leaves. It shall constitute just cause for discipline, up to and including discharge, for an employee to falsify the reason for a leave of absence. All leaves of absence shall be without pay or benefits unless specifically provided to the contrary by the provisions of the Leave Section involved.
