Project Xl Acceptance Criteria. A. Anticipated Superior Environmental Performance This project will result in superior environmental performance by reducing the risk of childhood lead poisoning by allowing more lead abatements to occur in residential housing units. Specifically, it is anticipated that 12 additional lead abatement projects will be performed by LSB with the current funding available from HUD. This would spare approximately 25 to 30 additional children from lead poisoning. Moreover, on a national level, this Policy Memorandum may ultimately spare thousands of children from lead poisoning.
Project Xl Acceptance Criteria. A. Environmental Results As set forth in Section II.D. above, this agreement contains a series of enforceable commitments and project goals designed to enhance environmental performance throughout the duration of this project. Again, the core element of this proposal is the performance ratio, which is designed to promote continuous environmental improvement. In addition, Xxxxxxxx has provided a number of other specific commitments also outlined in Section II.D.

Project Xl Acceptance Criteria. A. Superior Environmental Performance (SEP) There are two parts to demonstrating whether a project provides SEP. The first part (Tier 1) of the analysis must show that this XL project will provide equivalent public health protection as compliance with the LCR. The second part (Tier 2) of the analysis must show that this project goes beyond providing equivalent public health protection, and in fact will provide superior environmental performance. Based on a qualitative analysis, USEPA believes this project meets the Tier 1 and Tier 2 criteria of public health protection. However, USEPA intends to evaluate the project quantitatively prior to project implementation.
